Political Quizes – Take 2

Ray, I’m much more “centered” then you are.

My ranking on this test placed me at:

Economic Left/Right: -0.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.97

Which is one intersection left and down from center.

Here is another Quiz.  Just five “Personal Issues” and five “Economic Issues” qustions.

http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.htmlLast year (in April) when I first took it my score was…

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%.
Your
ECONOMIC issues Score is 70%.

This placed me on the crossed line directly below the E in Libertarian.  Which is certainly in line with my agreement with Lynn Nofzinger when he said:

“…I am a Republican because I believe that freedom is more important than government-provided security. Sometimes I wish I were a Democrat because Democrats seem to have more fun. At other times I wish I were a Libertarian because Republicans are too much like Democrats. What I actually am is a right-wing independent who is registered Republican because there isn’t any place else to go…”

Although how it placed me just left of center in the Libertarian camp is interesting.

Dad took the test too and…

I was 60%/60% … and hard up against the Libertarian side of the Centrist block.  Interesting. At 09:25 AM 1/10/2007, RRiddle wrote:

Here’s another quiz that attempts to quantify political/social beliefs.  It’s different than the last one I sent.  Maybe it’s better, since it doesn’t just address political position.  Decide for yourself.http://www.politicalcompass.org/questionnaire

Unfortunately, it apparently won’t let me swipe & display the graph (they want you to pay for that) – but this is the ranking it gave me:

Economic Left/Right: -4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.82

Which places me about a third of the way towards the “left” end of the political spectrum, and halfway towards the “Libertarian” end of the social scale.  According to another of their graphics there, the closest global personality matching my position (almost exactly) would be the Dalai Lama.  I can live with that!  Don’t know how they determined how the world personalities ranked though.  I’m fairly sure Gandhi or Hitler never took the test.

I’d be interested to see where you end up on this test.

Regards –

Ray
