Xxxx Xxxxxxx I can just say Screw You.  Assholes like you are what give good conservatives that love this country a bad name.  Guys like you and Sean Hannity constantly use half-truths to spread an agenda.

Either something is true or it is false.  Did Storm’n Norman “say” it as reported.  No.  Therefore it is false.  Does he agree with the sentiment?  Sure.  Do I agree with the sentiment?  Absolutely!  Does that make the quote true?  Of Course not.

For the record.  I was an Air Force Air Cadet Lt. Col and spent the Summer of 1981 on exchange with the Israeli Air Force.  I was going to go to the Naval Academy with a Recommendation from my Congressman (Mack Mattingly) from Georgia (we were stationed at Hunter Army Air Field where the my Father was the Operations Officer.  Hunter is were the 1/75th Rangers are stationed along with the 160th SOAR  – the group that just had a Helo go down in Afghanistan).  I decided against the Naval Academy and hopefully flying F/A-18’s for the Marines when I decided that maybe I wanted to try something different.

I did and was an “asset” for a while with one of those three-letter outfits that are located just outside the DC area.  I happen to speak, read and write Korean.

BTW, While in College I was in Marine PLC.

My Father is not a retired Sgt. Maj, rather he is a retired Army Aviator – Major (flew Birddogs in ‘Nam. Just try and question his patriotism and bravery he would smash your face in) who now travels every week from his home here in Arizona to work with the Marines at Camp Pendelton Monday – Friday – driving not flying!  You try and make that drive twice a week at age 64.  He did two tours in ‘Nam 67-68 and 69-70.  The year before Tet and the year after Tet.  And before the Army my Dad was an Enlisted Man in the Navy (got his shellback in 1962) who switched Services in 1965 (two years after I was born) when the Army had need of Crypto Communicators and the Army was offering promotions to those that switched.  Before that he was in the Marine Reserve while in College.  He is probably the only person alive that has Honorable Discharge Certificates hanging on his office wall from the Marines, Navy and Army!

My Uncle Larry is a Retired Air Force Crew Chief off of C-141’s. My Uncle Philip did three tours in ‘Nam with the Navy and was the youngest casualty at Pearl Harbor taking a round through the leg (it came in through the roof of the house there on base) as a three-year-old while my Grandmother was getting him dressed that morning while my Grandfather (Retired Navy Commander) was out at Palmya Island working on the installation of a Radar facility while his Brother-in-Law was aboard the USS Oklahoma down on Battleship Row.

My Cousin Scott (from my Uncle Larry) is currently in the Army and working at Crystal City on Intelligence issues on the GWOT.

I am a reliable “Conservative” Voter who loves to listen to Rush most days while I am in the car and switches the radio away from that moron Hannity to listen to Hugh Hewitt over on AM 960 in the afternoon.  I voted for “W” in the last two elections and won two steak dinner bets that the size of his victory would be bigger than what was being forecasted.  Held my nose and voted for Dole in the election before that.  I also voted both times for Bush senior and proudly voted for Reagan in his second election when I was first old enough to vote.

Sorry if you feel that the ends justify the means but I for one prefer the actual “truth” to what just “sounds” good.

Also, while I have been to Germany, Israel, Korea, Japan and Mexico I have never been to Canada and I don’t feel an overriding need to visit our neighbor to the north – except to maybe go skiing.
