Poor, self deluded Paul-bots (updated)
No skeletons in his Closet? You must be smoking some of that funny weed that Ron Paul wants to legalize. Have you educated yourself as to the writings in his newsletters that he published from 1976 to 1999?
Ron Paul will soon enough be the answer to a Trivia Question. “”What Racists Bigoted unknown Politician was able to fleece $20 million dollars from a scared and cowed tiny fraction of the US Electorate in 2007”
I predicted and said as much on my own Blog over the past couple of months. Nice to see the Media starting to pickup on it too.

“…Most voters had never heard of Paul before he launched his quixotic bid for the Republican nomination.
But the Texan has been active in politics for decades. And, long before he was the darling of antiwar activists on the left and right, Paul was in the newsletter business. In the age before blogs, newsletters occupied a prominent place in right-wing political discourse…”
The article provides quotes and analysis of Ron Paul’s newsletters from 1978 to 1999.
To say that his writings and beliefs are extreme and racists is an understatement.
A sampling…
“…opinion polls consistently show only about 5% of blacks have sensible political opinions…”
“…if you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be…”
Ron Paul sides with the Confederacy re: the Civil War and thought it should not have been fought and thinks the US should consider breaking apart today. “…the right of secession should be ingrained in a free society” and that “there is nothing wrong with loosely banding together small units of government. With the disintegration of the Soviet Union, we too should consider it.”
Lots more of his writings condemning MLK and praising KKK Head David Duke are to be found in his writings. Â
David said ” Facts: Let’s look at his record in Congress and take the 107 Congress as a snap shot. Note the Republicans (Ron Paul’s Party”) were in control then.
Click on his House Website. http://www.house.gov/paul/legis/welcome.htm then click on the Sponsored legislation for the 107th Congress. He sponsored 68 pieces of Legislation. 64 were “referred to committee” that means they went nowhere. 3 were voted against 62-364, 71-359 and 47-375. The single piece of legislation that was passed was an amendment to not fund the ICC 264-152. That was a great amendment to offer and to have won but it shows how ineffective he has been working with others. Being President is all about working with others. You are not King.”
So what I gather you are saying is, if you are working among thieves, you should become one yourself? If you can’t beat em, join em? No. Ron Paul is a man of principals and as such, has stood his ground on what he knows is right and in line with the constitution.
I think Ron Paul is the first of statesmen to come in a long time. It’s true. Ron Paul is a lonely voice on the hill, but that doesn’t make him wrong or not productive. It just verifies that the majority of the politic-players are corrupted to the hilt and in the pockets of the big corporations, not to mention, most of them own stock and sit on the boards of the war machine corporations, big pharma, Oil, etc.
However, Ron Paul is not really alone. He has us. And there’s a lot of us. And now the PTB know it. They were sure the majority of Americans were asleep and not really paying attention, but they got a big surprise. In fact, it’s apparent that they don’t know how to react to Dr. Paul’s popularity and financial support base.
Fox News, excluding Dr. Paul from their debate the other night, backfired as it brought more attention to him and also got him on the Tonight show . Funny how that happens.
Name calling, is always their response. They can never dispute anything. Just watch Fox News for 5 minutes. So, being called a moron by one of the Federally regulated Network’s, well programmed sheep, is no big deal. I mean, who really cares what you think? You are a programmed sheep. You talk in sound bites.
MSM (main stream media) isn’t promoting Ron Paul’s message as much as the other candidates, which proves to me that something is fishy.
We will have to elect more honest and ethical representatives. Ones that match up with the constitution. Especially since ethics and integrity are so sorely lacking in DC at this time and for the last 150 years, those qualities are very welcomed, but way past due. Ron Paul is just the first we have found with no skeletons in his closet. You’d have to agree he is a rare species in Washington. We can and will change the rest of it.
I financially support and highly endorse Ron Paul for president in 2008. I am a 56 year old, mother, self employed and self reliant, newly registered Republican. I seriously doubt, any of my peers would consider me a moron.
That was my 2 cents.
