Korean Bul-Go-Gi Burgers
A Bul-go-gi infused beef patty. A familiar Burger that fuses the flavors of Korea in a single bite.

Ingredients
Marinade
- 3/4 C Soy Sauce
- 4 Tb Sugar
- 2 Tb Sesame Oil
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 3 Green Onions including the white parts
- 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
- 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 oz Kimchi use the firm white leaves (1 oz by weight)
Burger patties
- 1 lb 80/20 Ground Beef
- 1 lb 90/10 Ground Beef
Burger Toppings
- 1 Yellow Onion Sliced thin
- 5 Green leaf Lettuce leaves
- 5 Tomato slices
- 5 Sesame Seed Burger buns toasted
Condiment
- 3 Tb Miracle Whip
- 2 Tb Go-Chu-chang Korean Red Pepper Paste

Instructions
- Place the marinade ingredients in a food processor and blend until the garlic cloves are incorporated. Reserve a 1/4 C of the Marinade
- Combine the meats and the marinade in a large mixing bowl Form into 8 oz patties Sear in a hot skillet lightly drizzled with Sesame Seed Oil
- While the burgers are cooking place the onion slices in a med-hot skillet and pour the remaining marinade over them Cook until just tender
- Serve the Burgers topped with a slice of Onion, Tomato and a Lettuce Leaf
Recipe Notes
Adding additional toppings like a small mound of thinly sliced fresh radish Kimchi would be tasty too
